So I can make a decent actual cat but I can't make an even bad background. It takes a special person to do THAT terrible of a background. Art © me of course (except for that flaming cat sprite) Song: Try © Pink *THIS IS FOR @AsukaKittyArtist ONLY, DO NOT USE THIS ART IN ANY OTHER WAY OTHER THAN VIEWING* Constructive criticism welcome Bio: Name: Choco Creme (Creme for short) Gender: she-cat Personality: not very brave, slight coward, tries to act fearless and courageous but always ends up making a fool of herself. Very dependable on others and slightly weak. Hardly ever goes camping, since her largest fear is fire and anything really hot (in the heat way not the other way lel XD) Theme song thing: well what do ya know, it's Try by Pink Back story (it's a long one gasp no surprise there): He galloped ahead of her, tail streaming behind his furry hindquarters and laughing, care free. "Wait up, you zippy furball!" she panted as she half cantered, half ran behind the tom. "Creme, you have to be faster than that if you want to even TRY and really race me!" the tom laughed. He looked over his shoulder, a mischievous gleam in his eyes. Creme laughed. "You know I'll never run as fast as you, Alex!" she mewed as she slowed to a trot. Alex slowed down, and padded backwards to be shoulder to shoulder with Creme. They continued to walk across the soft grass of the field, a soft breeze running through the two feline's fur. Alex stopped and turned around to face Creme, grinning. "How about a collecting flowers race? You'd beat me at that no matter how slow you're feeling!" Creme smiled at the thought of energetic Alex trying to pick flowers all day. He'd probably just start rolling around in the flower beds and dirt instead. "Oh Alex, I don't know how I would get a good laugh around here without you!" Creme meowed lively. Alex's grin widened into a beam. "You wouldn't even be able to LIVE without me, silly," Creme dipped her head in agreement. Alex was the heart and soul of Creme's life. Without him... Creme shuddered at the thought. Not that the two were mates. They were just close friends. If you call obsessed with each other felines 'close friends', that is. Alex stepped closer and touched his muzzle to Creme's cheek. "Come on, feather-brain, let's head back home," he meowed. Creme followed behind him, his tail occasionally brushing under her chin or over her nose. Show off, she thought. As the two neared the trees, Alex suddenly stopped short. Creme stopped just in time before ramming in to him. "Do you smell that, Creme?" whispered Alex, the mischievous spark in his eyes replaced with a glazed fear. Alex never showed fear, unless it was making Creme mad by destroying a bunch of flower beds. But then again, making Creme mad isn't much of a threat. All she does is tell you not to do it again. Even if you do, she just lashes her tail, and try to look scary. When Creme stepped forward closer to the trees, Alex halted her by raising his tail in her path. The fear was radiating off him now- Creme could smell it. "Creme, stay here. Don't move. If anything..." he paused. "UNEXPECTED happens, run for the fields- and don't look back." Creme couldn't smell anything else now except for his fear, and her own worry. What was Alex doing? She stared at Alex. He stared back, straight into her eyes- as if looking into her soul. He leaned forward and touched his muzzle to her ear. Creme let out a small sigh, not knowing if this would be a good or bad thing; a positive note of approval, or... A farewell. A silver, transparent tear rolled down Creme's cheek, landing on the dirt between her paws. Alex opened his eyes after a few seconds and stepped back. Creme shivered. The air seemed colder without him right by her side. "I promise you, Creme, I will come back to you. Do not fear, Alex is here!" he meowed, trying for humor. But his voice cracked, taking the fun out of it. Creme whispered to him. "I hope you keep your promise." Alex mewed softly back, "I'll do my best, Choco Creme," Creme blinked in surprise. He hardly called her by her real name. Creme glanced up to the sky. She saw translucent puffs of dark gray floating through the air. The puffs seemed to be moving towards one spot- or away from it. Creme realized what was going on. She took a deep sniff. She smelled smoke. Thick, hazy smoke. A fire. Their den! Creme lowered her muzzle. Just about as Creme was going to warn Alex, he turned tail and ran towards the center of the forest, where the smoke was coming from. "Alex, no! Don't go in there!" Creme yowled as loudly as she could. But he was too far in the forest- he couldn't hear Creme. Creme bounded after him, thinking she should just do what Alex said and flee to the hills. But life wasn't life without Alex. She couldn't leave him. After a few moments of tripping over roots and aching muscles, she arrived in a clearing. A tall tree stood in the middle. Alex was jumping branch to branch. The fire was cooking (STEAK) the tops of the branches. Creme wondered why Alex was climbing it. There was no reason to jump into danger! Then the mewl distracted her. The wail echoed through her ears. She looked up, and saw a pitiful little kit hanging from a flaming branch by only one paw. Without thinking, Creme leaped up and scrabbled onto a low branch. She looked up, having to squint through the dense smoke. The kit was only 3 more branches above Alex. He moved stealthily, his claws digging into the branch. His tail steadied his body as he continued to climb the tree. Creme stared with awe and horror as he grasped the kit's scruff in his mouth. He bounded back down swiftly, his grip on the kit still firm. Creme jumped down from the branch she was on and landed on the dirt, Alex landing beside her. Without a single word, he bounded off into the woods. Creme quickly followed behind him, her muscles screaming for her to stop and take a nice long rest (tea and crumpets, perhaps?). She ignored the stitch in her side and pushed forward, now shoulder to shoulder with Alex. He glanced over at her, nodding slightly with gleaming eyes. Creme grinned and leaped over a fallen tree, landing on the other side with ease. She used the ground to push off, transitioning into a sprint. Creme got so caught up in her mad dash for safety, she tripped over a large tree root. She yelped as she rolled over the bumpy forest floor, twigs and leaves getting stuck in her pelt. She slowed and stumbled to her paws, dizzy. Alex suddenly whooshed past her, yowling for here to follow. Creme blinked, regaining focus. She pounded through the trees, desperately trying to keep up with Alex. Only a few moments after she continued her sprint, her muscles burst with aches and soreness, slowing her gait. She stood a few moments, panting hard. Her legs trembled slightly. Creme looked up, but there was no sign of Alex. She shook the twigs and leaves out of her fur, relieving the itchiness. Creme half limped half jogged (if cats can jog) the rest of the way, only to keep slowing down and stopping. She stood there for a moment, dread filling her up. Creme was about to collapse into a messy heap of fur and bones when a blur of a dark pelt flashed by. She pricked her ears, straining to hear what was there. Alex suddenly barreled into her, seeming to scoop her up onto his back. He turned around and ran back the way he came, panting. Creme blinked, slowly processing what just happened. 1). Alex just randomly saved her 2). They were nearing the meadow 3). They were about to run into a tree A tree? Whoops. Alex yelped and swerved, leaves raking against Creme's side. She muttered to herself, "What a beautiful day, just another encounter with a lovely gentleman bush," Alex leaped over a fallen branch like a natural athlete. At least, until his paw caught onto part of it. Creme was thrown off his back. She tucked in and landed in a roll, then staggering to her paws. Alex was tangled up in a clump of leaves, his paw still trapped under the branch. "Alex, I'll help!" Creme yowled over a sudden roar of flames. The fire licked at the trees, coming towards the felines like an ocean tide. Alex looked up at her, his eyes terrified but firm (that combination is a little weird). "Creme, if you ever had one thought that I was your best friend, run to the meadows and leave here." The words hit Creme like a cuff to the ear, except harder. Alex tugged, but it made no difference. "No! I'm not just going to leave you here at the mercy of stupid fire!" She hissed. Alex shook his head. "No Creme, go, now. If you stay, we'll both die!" Creme's eyes were wide with fright. "I'll go down with you! I don't care, I'll die with you if I must! We can just move these twigs, and pull and out comes your paw!" "That kit will have no one or nothing to take care of it, Creme. Just go!" Alex's eyes were almost angry. Creme made a slight whimper, then turned and ran away. Away from her friend and from the raging fire. To the kit. Leaving Alex behind. //sobz because I got dramatic at the end I didn't want this to be so long and gosh this took long I procrastinate you already know lel Fancy boom clap sob
