Manatees are curious creatures that are often hit by boats that fish around estuaries, where manatees live. Raising awareness is important because boats can sail around these areas. However, some people leave out hoses for manatees to drink water from, and then the manatees explore past their natural habitats, thinking of fresh water. Then boats cannot avoid places where manatees could be, because they could be anywhere.
