Do you need a quick excuse for not doing your chores? Then this project is the one for you! Original project by @rose-pearl Some referenced content is copyrighted by it's owners Some of it is patented. ~~TECHYPEDIA~~ Ubuntu - A version of the operating system Linux. Linux is NOT a buggy operating system, and it is free of charge. Tux - Mascot of Linux Trojans - A type of malware that hackers use to take over people's computers. I got one one, but Windows Defender killed it and reported the data to Microsoft. Anonymous- A group of hackers who don't like Digital Rights Management. Malware- Stuff like viruses C- A programming language, very unlike Scratch Overclocking- Speeding up a computer, but also increasing it's energy consumption. VERY risky. Also voids the warranty. Rubber Ducky- Something that looks like a USB stick, then tells your computer it is a keyboard and hacks you. Not to be confused with the Debugging method or the bath toy. The organiser of my coding club showed an example of one off. PowerShell- Something geeks like me use on Windows for really geeky tasks, such as running advanced code. Sudo apt-get- A command you use in Linux to install certain applications. Sudo stands for Super User DO. Kodi- a media center that I think is perfect for Raspberry Pi. Not a computer breaker. DDoS attack- A method of hacking websites. WINE- A tool for running Windows apps on Linux. Probably works with Scratch. Windows Subsystem for Linux- A version of Linux that sits under Windows. You get it with a PowerShell command. It is meant for people who want to make Linux apps but would rather use Windows. Windows 10 Bugs- Pretty obvious, but Windows 10 has a LOT of glitches. Basically, when you fix one bug, another one pops up. But hey, nobody's perfect. Killer Governments- Sometimes countries hack other countries. 'Evil' Countries are often known to do this. Cryptocurrency- Basically a virtual currency that investors use. Bitcoin- A cryptocurrency Data Corruption- When your stuff doesn't save properly and stops working. That is why you don't use Screen-Time limiters. Sometimes breaks your computer. Brick- When you mess around with your stuff (e.g jailbreaking a games console) and something goes wrong, your device breaks and becomes what is effectively a lightweight brick. Eating your own dog food- When you make a tool and use it yourself Bitcoin Miners- People who are addicted to bitcoin The IoT- The Internet of Things. Basically stuff like a fridge connected to the internet. Has been hacked before - many times. BASH- The Linux equivalent of PowerShell Zombies- Not the type that eats brains, but rather a type of computer that has been taken over by malware. Apple Products- Obvious. Very Expensive. Worm- A type of Malware. Harder to deal with than a Virus. Google- You should know. Apple- See Above Upload- See Above Above Hacking- See Above Above Above Intel- A company that makes CPUs. Better CPUs mean faster computers. GitHub- A website where people share their code. Has hacking and piracy tools, but doesn't delete them. Does delete a copyright-infringing Mario fan game, though. Flash Security Exploits- One of the driving factors behind 3.0. Hackers made Viruses to hack people through Flash. Adobe are getting rid of it in 2020. Piracy- Getting paid software, films, etc. for free. VERY illegal, you can face a massive fine if you are caught doing it. Fines are when your money gets confiscated, and they take a LOT of it. Usually around £500,000, maybe more. Yoda Conditions- Very messy coding trick that you can do in Java.
