`･⚇･´ 100+ Art and Writing Contest `･⚇･´ Press space to go through the slides. Girl in project: @Leapingtotheskies Music: @Rosyda In honor of 100+ followers, I'm hosting an art and writing contest! The theme is "A New Hope" (Not supposed to be a Star Ward reference, if you're wondering x3). By that, I mean like when refugees and/ or immigrants (not always, anybody really xD) face problems in their own country (war, famine, etc.), and move to a different place. An example is to draw an art about the immigrants on Ellis Island, and also writing about it (Idea: @penguincoder119). You can keep your writing purely informational, or you can invent a character and their personal stories! Examples of scenarios like these are Jewish refugees (WW II), Vietnamese refugees (Vietnam war), and Rohingya refugees (Rohingya crisis, Burma). If you can't think of anything historical, you can also portray character(s) in video games, or even fantasy stories! `･⚇･´ HOW TO ENTER 1) Remix this project! 2) Create your art and/ or writing piece around the theme "A new hope". 3) Include the following in your notes and credits: What time period the people/ things depicted are from, why you chose that. 4) Share and wait for the results! `･⚇･´ CRITERIA Your entry MUST be a remix and include an art or writing piece and the following in your notes and credits: What time period the people/ things depicted are from, why you chose to use that. If one or all of these things is missing from your entry, you will be disqualified. It's ok if you don't know the exact time period of the people/ thing(s) you portray, I can find out for you :) `･⚇･´ RULES 1) No blood or gore. 2) Keep your entry original- don't copy other people's entries. `･⚇･´ WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR I'll be looking out for art and writing pieces that contain lots of interchanging emotions, conflicting opinions, and stories that are also are historically accurate. `･⚇･´ IMPORTANT I will be judging art and writing separately, so your art and writings pieces don't need to be the same topic. This contest closes March 1st, 2019, and results will be out soon after. Please be patient with the judging process, I'm a student who is very busy with school and other activities! Also, please don't get upset if you don't win. You can always try again some other time :) `･⚇･´ PRIZES There will be 3 winners for each section (art and writing)! Prizes: 1st- one follow, 2 faves, 7 loves, an art 2nd- 2 faves, 7 loves, an art 3rd- 1 fave, 6 loves `･⚇･´ NOTE The topic of immigrants, refugees, war, or anything like that is not intended to offend anyone or anything in any way. If this topic is sensitive for you, I suggest you walk away and forget about this ^^ This theme is purely my personal preference, and I don't want any drama about this. That's all!
