Welcome to the mines! Here you can mine for resources deeper and deeper! ...I'm not really sure what to put here, so just click the flag and find out what this game has to it for yourself. Be warned that this game is very buggy. Update 0.1 Added loading screen, title screen, surface. Added character. New resource: stone Still in development mode. Any feedback would be great! Update 0.2 Added first cave level. I plan on having at least ten levels before update 1.0. Update 0.25 Added trees. New resource: wood Started adding recipes. Might take a while to finish. Update 0.3 Added 2nd cave level. New resource: aluminum. Added chest and workbench. Added wood, stone, and alum pick. Broke the game, frame rate dropped dead. Sorry about that. I'm working on fixing it. Update 0.4 Fixed frame rate. Added Anvil. New resource: tin Added tin pick. Added ability to see your current pickaxe. Items now have a 1/4 chance to break upon crafting (going to be nerfed...maybe) When you go into the caves it likes to put you on floor 2 or 3. Don't know why, trying to fix it. Chests, workbenches, and anvils sometimes break and won't move or disappear. Attempting fix. Update 0.45 Fixed cave level glitch (I think) Fixed movable items breaking. Added 4th cave level. New resource: copper Added cop pick. Update 0.5 Fixed cave level glitch for sure. It's a scratch project, so it's not going to be perfect. Added 5th cave level. New resource: iron Added iron pick. Started working on a new item: ladder. Added cheat code that will be in the game until version 1.0: Skips the loading screen and fast-forwards to the title screen. Press O to do so. Update 0.8 Made a massive push for updating, almost done. Added in sprites for all of the different ores. Finished adding ladders. Added scoreboard system (won't work because you can't beat the game yet) Added all crafting recipes I wanted to add (so far)(Again, won't be able to see them because I've only built the caves so far...) Update 0.9 Almost to the full release! Added lead, nick, bronze, gold, and dia picks (Just abbreviated for the crafting names) New resources: lead, nickel, bronze, gold, and diamond. Added health bar (really frustrating to code, but I did it.) Added lava on last floor. Don't touch it at all with your sprite, even his hair, or you'll start taking damage. Bugs: You won't be able to craft anything after iron. Going to fix (or I just forgot that I added it) Sometimes the floors glitch. If you get stuck somewhere around floor 8 (anywhere between 6-10) leave a comment describing exactly what happens and I'll try to fix it. I plan on adding an easter egg, as well as a secret code. You'll have to look hard to find both. Added timer for speed running (forgot to do so with the scoreboard. If you want to be on the scoreboard, then you'll have to be signed in to your account. It's still not going to work until I add the diamond pickaxe recipe though...) Update 0.95 Added custom music option (look in the Notes and Credits) Added black background to health bar (still made from pen) Fixed almost every bug I think the scoreboard system is complete Removed cheat button (I decided to remove it early, it still works for my account. Haha) Figured out what my easter egg should be. I'm not going to put it here, you'll either have to figure it out or look in the code. The easter egg and the secret code are now the same thing. The ladders are semi-broken: there are only certain spots that work and let you move floors (right around the middle of the ladder) I might leave this project as it is for a while, because I'm lazy. Update 0.98 I'm running out of pre-1.0 updates... Added a parallax-kind-of effect where you move your cursor and it moves the scene Bigfixes I think I changed something else, but I forgot what lol Update 0.99 Fixed the invisible chest (maybe) Fixed a glitch where the floors would bug out when you made ladders (almost) Alpha testing/debugging phase-I will keep a running list of updates until the beta testing phase. Sped up loading screen Added something that gives the loading screen a purpose Added a tutorial Added an actual highscore function that gets a username and the highscore. Procrastination phase: Fixed a glitch in the tutorial where you could get stuck because your item broke. New title animation. Attempting to remove chests sharing inventories. Chests may be bugged for a while (1-21-20 to present)
UPDATE 7-12-20: I have quit this project, as I have so many others, so do not expect any bugfixes to happen. Please don't say that this is basically Minecraft. There are tons of mining games, and Minecraft just so happens to be the most popular game played right now. I mean, Terraria is a mining game, isn't it? (First other game I could think of.) C to go up a level. X to drop items. WASD to move. Space to mine/chop. E to show inventory. Q to craft (Items on crafting list can be crafted by typing corresponding number.) V to move items to chest. B to move items from chest to inventory. Click the flag twice to start. Click the X in the far upper right corner if you get too mad at the game.
