"Lilia!" No response. "Lilia! Lilia, can you hear me?" I could hear the panic rising in the tone of her voice. "Lilia, stop scaring me! Please respond!" Contemplating whether I should reveal my rather comfy hiding spot covered in soft moss under the oak tree or stay and scare Rosaline more, I silently paced around the makeshift bed I had pulled together with the moss and fallen leaves of autumn I found laying on the nearby. Although I tried to tiptoe around as quietly as I could, the moss crinkled, giving my hiding spot away, because Rosaline perked her head up towards my direction. A smile crept along her face. As quickly as it had come, Rosaline's pretty smile changed into a face of sorrow, as if she had lost someone she loved dearly. Rosaline sat down, sullen. "Oh Lilia, where are you? I miss you. Please, come back." As she said the last sentence, Rosaline turned her head back to my direction. I made the mistake of looking at her, because when her eyes met mine, she gave me the death glare of all death glares. Shocked, I twisted around to further hide myself from her. I was too late; Rosaline had already got up and started pacing towards me, still with her death glare, though a playful smile was there too. As Rosaline approached me, I shyly revealed myself. "Hello, I'm here," "I know you were. I guess I got the payback I deserved for leaving you alone in the woods last night," she admitted. "Since I guess we're even, let's go home. It's getting dark, and I don't want you to scare me again." I nodded along, agreeing whilst my expression moved to match her playful smile. "Race you!"
