I stepped out of my mom’s gray Ford onto the pavement below. Closing the door, I looked at my mom and sighed. “That was so tiring! Could I please go back to my room now? I was right in the middle of a stream before you interrupted!” I pleaded. We just got back from bringing all of my supplies to my new school, then we took a look around the school to find all my classes. “Sure, Honey. Just be sure you have everything packed and ready for tomorrow, okay?” I nodded my head and walked over to the front door, unlocking it. Grabbing the doorknob, I twisted it to the side to open it. I walked through the doorway and spinted towards my room, not bothering to close the door behind me. Even though I could hear my mother yelling at me to get back down there and close it, I chose to ignore her. So what if she would be annoyed? I can suffer the consequences later! I smirked, setting my bag down against the wall. I trotted over to my desk and turned the laptop and microphone on again. Sitting down on the chair, I spun it around a few times, like normal. I turned back to the screen when my recording program popped up. After loading up the game again, I turned the stream on again. . . . I regret everything. I pace outside of the school, waiting for the gates to open. The gates are painted a royal gold color, barely any rust could be seen. They must keep it in pretty good condition, or they just hire a lot of cleaners to keep it that way. Either way, it looks awesome. Everyone around me is either talking to their friends or playing on their phones. Except for me; I don’t know anybody here. I finally decide to pull out my phone, turning it on. Opening the texting app I have, I tap on the first contact; That Boi X. One of the best nicknames I have come up with yet! Aughhhhhh! The waiting is making me crazy XD - Me Waiting? What do you mean? Also, hi to you too. - X Rolling my eyes, I sigh. This boy was the crazy one, not me! Well, I’m starting a new school today, and they are making us wait outside for five. Hundred. Minutes! - Me Lol, I can understand that! My school does that too, just, they don’t do it for that long. Ten minutes at most! - X Lucky you. - Me A loud ringing coursed through the air. The gates started to creak as it slowly swung back, allowing the students passageway. The majority of the students rushed past, knocking into me. I stood there, waiting for the chaos to end; I needed to survive the first day. I hung back, along with a few other, waiting for the final people to stream in. Clutching my backpack, I walk forward, through the gates, through the door, and finally into the hall. I walked over to my locker, only to be greeted by a group of jocks standing in front on it. I tried to get their attention, but to no avail. They were all taller than me, so they couldn’t even see me. I was around 5 five feet tall, but they were all at least ahead taller than me. I finally decided to tug on one’s shirt to get their attention. I grabbed the sleeve of a boy with electric blue hair with royal blue lowlights. He stopped mid laugh and looked down at me. “You need something?” I stammered quietly, “N-no, just, you’re blocking my locker… It’s right behind you. Could you please move?” I looked down at my feet while I waited for him to answer. “Uh, sure. You heard her, c’mon. We have a class to get to too. I really don’t want to be tardy for the third time this week!” They continued to bicker and playfully punch each other, walking off to their first class. I looked around to see who my locker buddies were, but there were barely any people at the lockers anymore. I frantically tried to get my locker open, but the lock kept on messing up. “Come on! Open!” I tried one last time before finally getting it to open, only to be greeted by the sound of the bell overhead. The tardy bell, to be exact. This day was going perfectly! First, I had gotten zero sleep; second, people were blocking my locker; third, I was going to be late on my first day. I groaned in frustration and rushed to my first class, which was, of course, on the other side of the school. (Different one V)
I had been exploring an abandoned asylum at night, but to add to the thrill factor, I made sure it was 3:00 A.M. I know most sane people wouldn’t even consider doing something like this, but you never know. I’ve been interested in the paranormal, abandoned places, and just anything that was linked to some type of horrific thrill in general since I was a young kid. I was and still am a pretty messed up kid. I walked over to where a window should have been, only fragmented glass shards now remaining in its place. I placed my hand to the area above it and grabbed on, hoisting myself through the window. I looked around briefly at all the graffiti, shattered bottles, and cracked stones and doors before heading off in a random direction. The hall was eerily quiet and dark. If anything was there, you would be able to hear the echo as it ricocheted against the old, crumbled walls. The only sound you could hear was the sound of my breathing and slow footsteps. I put my hand against the wall as I walked, feeling the rough texture under my fingertips. I continued walking past hundreds of doors, all worn and broken. I walked past a door that was slightly ajar and decided to peer inside. Surprisingly, I had yet to explore an actual room. The room was small, measuring up to around 11 feet in length, seven in width. There were bloodied scratches on all of the walls, trays upturned, and blood splattered on the floor. The person that stayed in this room must have wanted to escape pretty badly. While I was studying the blood, the noise of the door creaking closed behind me was heard. A sense of overwhelming dread washed over me. My body stiffened up, declaring me unable to move for a few moments. I slowly turned around, facing the door. In front of the newly closed door stood a tall, dark figure. It loomed over me, smiling sadistically at my fear. It’s eyes glowed a bright ruby red, the color contrasting to the rest of his body, skin included, that was black. It was floating slightly the ground, wispy and mildly transparent. The ‘Thing’ stared down at me as it tipped it’s black top hat slightly. The grin stretched even wider, if that was possible, before opening its mouth. “Sleep well, human.” Chills went down my back as black dots slowly overcame my vision. The last sound I heard before falling onto the floor was a cackling, menacing laughter. My vision was nearly completely obscured by the black dots when I saw the figure disappear. My eyes rolled to the back of my head, finally claiming its victim unconscious.
