Route down below. Instructions: Arrow keys - Walk/Duck/Jump Y - Throw Cappy/Uncapture/(Hold) Home in to capture. Down in air - GroundPound(GP) GP + Y - Dive Three jumps in a row while holding left/right - Triple Jump Left + Down, then Down + Up, no left - Long Jump Hold Y, then Y + Down - Cap bounce Down + Up - Backflip Down + Y on Ground - Roll (Fast) GP + Up when land - GP Jump Route: First, press D to show all coins and flames, then quickly throw cap at the torch to left and GP moonspot. Hold right and GP Jump. If fast enough, capture bullet bill. Hold left, uncapture ASAP and cap bounce to the first moon. Hold right and down, and after moon grab animation, tap Y to dive to grab the second moon. You actually don't grab the other moon now, you come back for it later. for a timesave. Roll to right and blow out the torch. Jump and capture new bullet bill. You have to be very fast to catch these bullet bill cycles. Hold up right to zoom as a bullet bill to the first pillar. Uncapture on the right side of the pillar and hold left to grab the third moon. Re-capture bullet bill and zoom to the moon to the right (Bless moving platform cycles). New addition to the run: This most likely will not work in your favor unless it is consistant, but I haven't really tried it out enough yet. Uncapture the bullet bill before touching the 4th moon and keep holding up and right during the moon get animation. Hold upright afterwards till you are infinitely bouncing off of the bullet bill. Press down while holding upright to get caught in the wall. With good timing, you can press B to get unstuck from the wall where Mario will move to the right to try to get unstuck, and while you are too the right, press down. Too early or late and Mario will groundpound in the spot where you got the moon, but if you timed it right, Mario will be above the platform near the third and final torch. If you mess up, just jump around like you normally would. After that mess of a reroute, jump across the platforms to the left and triple jump cap bounce dive and dive a second time for minor height over the wall to grab the fifth moon. A reliable set up is to do the first 2 jumps on the lower platform and the third one on the higher platform. Delay cap bounces for maximum height, because this is a tricky jump. Roll down to left and grab both the torch moon and the GP moon at the beginning at the same time for seven moons. Now would be the time to grab the second moon that you skipped at the beginning. Run to the right, go to the first pillar and jump upwards to the spot where you triple jumped, jump up platforms and put Cappy on the scarecrow. Dive up each platform and either double jump, GP jump, or backflip to the eighth moon. Then roll off the right side of the platform and start cap bouncing at the beginning of the condensed lines in the background to land on a platform and finish the run by grabbing the last moon. This run is SUPER technical with the varying movement and hard cycles to reach. If you think this run is too hard, don't be disappointed in yourself and maybe try one of the other speedruns projects on my and other accounts.
