This is an interactive binary calculator for adding two binary numbers. You can see the number in binary form, and also the decimal version of the numbers are shown on the right. At first, the numbers that are added are random, but you can change them to anything you like. One way to add two binary numbers is just to convert them to decimal, add them, and convert back. But, this calculator actually does the addition directly in binary. To help you learn addition in binary, there is a "quiz" mode that asks 10 questions. You will get the hang of it pretty quickly.
In calculator mode: Click any binary digit to change from 0 to 1. There is an option to show the digits, or just the digit colors (white for 1, black for 0). In quiz mode, there are 10 questions to try. Here, you need to click the binary digits of the answer, setting them to black for 0 and white for 1. Then, check your answer with "submit". Enjoy!
