This is a sequel to a simple animation with the most populated countries in the world starting in 1950 and ending at the present day. The colors of the country names are based on their colors on National Geographic maps. Another thing: Rank changes are often shown the year after they actually occurred, due to a method I was doing. And the world population counter may be slightly inaccurate in terms of matching with the year. -------------------------------------------------------------------------Geopolitical change explanations: 1. Russia was a part of the Soviet Union until 1992, when it became its own state. Same with Ukraine. 2. Bangladesh used to be part of Pakistan, or they were in a union, until 1971. 3. Germany was divided into a communist east and a democratic west until 1990. Vietnam was also divided into a communist north and a more democratic south until 1976. 4. Nigeria was owned by the United Kingdom until 1960. All other countries are based on their land area as of now, even if in the past.
Music: Naruto opening 5. (I sped it up) I got it from a YouTube video Data from Worldometers.info, based on estimates from the United Nations' "World Population Prospects - The 2017 revision".
