Welcome to my most ambitious project yet: Keyboard Hero! Keyboard hero is a guitar hero-style game in which you tap buttons in time with the song as the notes come down, only in this version, the notes play when the keys are pressed (or fall off the screen), rather than playing in the background. There are 10 songs pre-loaded on to the game, ranging from the baroque period to video game soundtracks. A major aspect of the game is that you can create your own levels! there are 3 slots which already have some parts loaded in, and you can figure out how to compose songs quite intuitively, but here are some tips anyways: --COMPOSITION RULES-- -ALWAYS use the "change key" block right after you change the key signature. you will need to change key to access notes that are not in the key. -Make sure to change the key DIRECTLY BEFORE a note to change it! having it directly after a note can potentially lead to that note being changed. this goes for changing everything: Octaves, Instruments, and Tempo (not recommended). -Use the LOOP variable for 1st and 2nd endings, make sure to set it back to 0 at the end of the phrase. -Chords (multiple notes at once) are fine, but do not change the octave, key, or instrument of some of the notes. All notes in a chord must be of the same key, octave, and instrument, lest it be out of sync. -Change costumes in the "songInfo" sprite after finishing the game to fit your song. Make sure to give credit if it is not yours! --OTHER THINGS-- -You can use the arrow keys as well as clicking the sprites to change the song selection -press and hold the 0 (zero) key for 5 seconds until you hear a sound to reset the high scores. That's about it! Let me know if I missed anything! Remix and share so others can see the songs you have created! Happy Playing!
