I just smiled at him mischievously, knowing he was oblivious to my upcoming plan. He walked away and once he was out of sight, I put my plan into action. Around my neck was a fashionable ‘scarf’ that wrapped around my neck twice. I carefully unwrapped it, because if I pulled it off, then it would cut my head in half. On the ends of the scarf were two big rings that a hand could easily fit into. The scarf really looked more like a rope, but with me, everything was a mystery. Embedded in the rope were small pieces of shrapnel that cut into flesh and ripped open skin if you pulled on it.
