Just watch! The dinosaurs at first have no idea what to do, but are forced to either jump, duck, or remain idle. Which ever one of them is the most successful and survives longest carries on their "genes" (more or less a simple integer string) for their descendants to follow. For now, they all operate on the best ancestor's moves but ignore the last few so they don't encounter the same obstacle as the last did.
