-Fluctea- Lush, green forests surround a sparkling, crystal clear lake. An emerald sea laps at pristine, untouched beaches. The chatter of a monkey rings throughout the forest, sending squawking birds into the distance. This is Fluctea, the land of the Fluca people. The official language of Fluctea is Fluce, which is a derivative of ancient French, Italian, and Czech. Fluce sounds very beautiful when spoken, many visitors commenting on its strange resemblance to the gentle chimes of a flute. Fluce is a particularly challenging language, some residents taking almost a lifetime to completely master it. Many of the animals found on the land of Fluce are native only to this particular island and are found nowhere else. For example, the high-tailed cockatoo is a rather colourful tropical bird, which feeds only on fruits found only on the island, and is therefore only found on this island. However, common birds such as seagulls are also found on this island. The vegetation on Fluctea, however, is completely native to Fluctea and Fluctea only. All the plants on Fluctea can be found nowhere else. This is due to the island's extreme isolation. The residents prefer to keep the location of the island secret, in order to protect its delicate ecosystem and beautiful scenery. The people on the island are extremely caring and kind, helping others even if it means bringing inconvenience to themselves. The residents of Fuctea forbid fences, not understanding the concept of boundaries. Instead, everyone shares everything. It is considered an honour if somebody likes something of yours enough to ask if they may have it. Although the people living on the island are all kind and caring, they acknowledge that people elsewhere may not be. This is why they choose to keep the island's location a closely guarded secret, and even most of the residents do not know the location of their home. It is only due to the island's isolation that such a beautiful and unique ecosystem has developed, and the residents have unanimously agreed to let it stay that way. New residents are invited to join the island occasionally, but only after months of constant study into their everyday lives. Otherwise, the population of the island is only made up of children born on the island and the occasional victim of a shipwreck. The population of the island is only about 1000, and residents are encouraged to only have children if they are certain they want to deal with the burden of caring for them potentially for the rest of their lifetime. Due to this, the population of Fluctea rarely has any dramatic fluctuations. Drastic changes only happen when there is a deadly sickness travelling around the island, and this is exceedingly rare due to the island's isolation. Fluctea is not only a beautiful island, but it also has technology advanced beyond compare. The entire island produces zero carbon emissions, and the scientists have found completely organic ways to make paper without using wood pulp, and also ways to disintegrate rubbish - completely organically! The island of Fluce is such a beautiful place. With beautiful scenery, kind residents and advanced technology, what else could you hope for? Hope you can pay us a visit sometime!
