KETCHUP WARNINGGGG (I mean, this is a murder mystery show, of course there will be ketchup) yEAH I likE THIS SHOW A LOT OKAY It's the only show I watch regularly on TV MURDOCH MYSTERIES A CANADIAN MURDER MYSTERY SHOW SET IN THE LATE 1800s/EARLY 1900s. A VERY GREAT SHOW Yeah. Anyway. Characters: Detective Llewellyn Watts (My personal favorite, he reminds me of me, he speaks thoughts as they come to him without filtering and annoys/offends almost everyone in the general vicinity. he doesn't mean to, of course. he also is eccentic and weird. i admire that. because i can relate.) Constable George Crabtree (the one with the worried expression and love for the supernatural) Detective William Murdoch (the one who barely shows emotion yet somehow makes any serious urgent situation hilarious to me by rushing there on his bicycle) Dr. Julia Ogden (don't worry she only has a ketchup bottle- she uses dark humor. specifically morgue humor) Inspector Thomas Brackenreid (amusedly watching Murdoch nerd out over some invention or other) So. I really like this show. It's really great. And funny. Some great quotes that may or may not make you want to watch the show: "The AUDACITY to walk into my morgue and take such liberties! I feel utterly VIOLATED!" - Julia Ogden "The brain requires a constant flow of oxygen... Or tea!" - Julia Ogden "THAT is the height of sauciness, get up!" -Constable Crabtree "Sliced bread would be the greatest thing since...." - Constable Crabtree "Life is but a cruel sport for whatever maker you are forced to believe in." - Detective Watts "Your face is... symmetrical." - Detective Watts (he means it as a compliment) "Well, I once wrote a rhyming couplet about the family dog. *long pause* It was a very well-behaved dog." - Detective Murdoch "I lost my hat." - Detective Murdoch... after he nearly drowns in a sinking boat- Crabtree: "Now, Murdoch, I know there are no vampires..." Murdoch: "Yes." Crabtree: "In America." Murdoch: *insert Murdoch stare* Crabtree: "He thought they looked extra-terrestrial, sir." Murdoch: "[sarcastically] So, it's your feeling that this is the work of Martians, George?" Crabtree: "No, no, no, sir... Venusians! Venusians, sir, have a motive for invasion." Murdoch: "And what would their motive be?" Crabtree: "Well, sir, Venus is permanently beclouded. Clearly, they have somehow managed to sully their own atmosphere and now covet our clear, blue skies, such as they are." "Sir[s]!" - Basically everyone at least 20 times per episode (I counted and averaged it out)
