Leafpool was shocked. No, she was MORE than shocked. She felt angry. Leafpool's fur bristled. "Be your mate again? I thought I meant nothing to you!" Crowfeather blinked at her. "Oh, Leafpool, I didn't mean that..." "Then why did you say it, hmm?" Leafpool hissed. Crowfeather hesitated. "I was..." "You were trying to save yourself!" Leafpool hissed again. "That's what you always do! Make someone else look like the enemy so YOU take the blame! That's what happened at with badgers, the border fight, the gathering, EVERYTHING!" Crowfeather gaped at her. "Leafpool, I-" "You made a fool out of me," Leafpool snarled."And if it weren't for you, Hollyleaf would still be alive! But its not like you care, anyways. You didn't even bat an eye when she died!" Crowfeather opened his mouth to say something, but Leafpool raked her claws across his face and screeched, "Get out of here!" Crowfeather yowled in pain and scrambled away. Leafpool looked over to Mothwing, who was staring at her in surprise. She then said, "Couldn't have worded it better myself." Leafpool sighed and sat down, burying her face in her paws. After a while, she felt the golden tabby's breath on her head. "Are you okay? I was joking." Without looking up, she responded, "No, I'm fine." Then, Leafpool felt fur press up against her, and a tongue running over her head. Leafpool purred and pressed her nose into Mothwing's warm fur. Suddenly, the two she-cats heard giggling and they looked up to see Jayfeather, Littlecloud, and Kestrelflight smiling. "Are we interrupting something?" Littlecloud purred. "What! No! You guys!" Leafpool squeaked in surprise, jumping to her paws. "Its not what it looks like!" Mothwing let out a mrow of laughter, tipping her head back. As she did, everyone else did, and soon, so did Leafpool.
