This is the Alpha release of the sequel to my project Interstellar. http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/ZorchyGroxFox/2895369 This version uses the alternative control interface (click to accelerate) and adds a gravity source, a laser weapon, and a beacon which your ship can drop. The beacon, which appears as a dark blue blip on the radar, can be dropped by pressing the L key. There's only one sprite for it at the moment, so you can only have one deployed at a time. The laser weapon is fired with the space bar, and can be used to destroy beacons and objects. Doing so does nothing to your score, and the game will continue as normal. Colliding with the gravity source will end the game. The gravity script is not yet fully complete, but it is functional and a stable orbit can be attained around the source. The sprite is just a placeholder, eventually I'll put in a better black hole image. Instead of 1000 fuel, you now start with 10000 fuel. (I applaud your patience if you manage to exhaust that). It's really more of an indicator of how much you've been using the engine now, rather than an actual limiting factor on gameplay. I might take it out completely in later versions. Eventually, I plan to add AI enemies, more weapons, sound effects, and more gravity sources/locations. I also intend to add missions, perhaps even a small storyline. Music track is "Indigo Archer", a free track from the Homestuck album "ColoUrs and Mayhem: Universe A". http://homestuck.bandcamp.com/album/colours-and-mayhem-universe-a (I know it's a little quiet, sorry about that) Music can be toggled on and off by clicking the icon in the lower left corner of the window.
