Part 8- Lilacpaw continues, having to out-smart foxes and out-run badgers. She hunts every now and then. A quarter moon later, she finds a deep hole. It was leaf-bare when her parents disappeared, and in the hole, there are two bodies of dead cats, preserved in ice.
