My parents named me after Jaleesa Vincent, a character on a show called 'A Different World'. The show was a spinoff of 'The Cosby Show', and about young Black college students. When I learned where my name came from, it made me more interested in the college experience. **I still want to add more information about the show, HBCU's, and the college experience**
