Prince Kite is the youngest son of the Skywing Queen, and thus, the least well known. Those who are aware of his existence are mainly guards, his siblings, his guards, and those who've heard of him from word of mouth. This is mainly Kite's doing, as he's very self-conscious. He was never an extremely good fighter or politician, traits he saw as important in royalty, and due to his albinism, he sunburned easily, causing him to only go out in public for his own reasons or particularly important royal issues. Especially because the Skywing territory is hot and due to his pale scales he burns easily. When one gets to know him or earns his trust, however (mainly obtained from sincerity and kindness to him), he's more than happy to come out of his shell. Among friends, he's easily excited and very curious about the world, his main ambition to explore it and discover everything there is to discover, and improve where he can. Despite his interests, though, Kite has few close friends because he doesn't get out much. While exploring in the desert (he often snuck out, to explore) once, he was attacked by a patrolling Sandwing soldier. Not wanting to injure the young dragon too much, he let him escape with nothing more than a badly burnt tail. Being a prince who wasn't very used to injury, Kite suffered greatly, barely managing to drag himself to the border of a small Sandwing settlement, where he was found by Mesa, who took him back to his fellow healers and helped him recover. He had, however, stayed in the desert to heal (moving through daylight, a prince injured in a rival kingdom would be pretty idiotic), and actually made friends with a few of the healers, especially Mesa, who basically became a surrogate older brother. He practices flying at night when the sun can't burn him, which he's become very talented at. Kite can be insecure at times, but his loyalty to his friends and allies knows no bounds. He is reserved, intelligent, curious, and can be snarky at times. He's also the youngest among his friend group, being the dragon equivalent of around 16 or 17 rather than Mesa's equivalent to 23 or Mako's 22. Also, before anyone complains about him being named after a human invention, (though dragons probably have kites too, they've got swords ans stuff so a kite isn't really that much of a stretch) he's actually named after the white-tailed kite, which is a small white bird of prey with red eyes, just like him! Thus continuing the tradition of Skywings being named for birds of prey :)
