Lest we forget. =========================================== On 25th of April 1915 the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) landed at Gallipoli. Conditions grew steadily worse and fatalities grew and grew. Eventually the troops where evacuated more than 8 months after the landing. Allied deaths reached more than 56,000. From then on 25th of April became known as 'ANZAC Day'. Services include dawn services, memorial marches and memorial services. That was 104 years ago. "They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun, and in the morning We will remember them.
