Did you know that in the past 100 years, half of the Earth's wetlands have been destroyed? 80,000 acres of forest are cut down per day. These forests may only cover 6 percent of the world, but they still house 50% of the world's plant and animal species. By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. Polar ice caps and glaciers are melting, not only causing the sea level to rise, but also leaving polar bears without homes. Animals are dying. Sea levels are rising. Global temperatures are only increasing. The amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is increasing. Storms are getting worse. The planet that we live on, is changing, and this change may not be for the best. It may seem impossible to undo this. You may feel as if you don't have much to contribute. But maybe you still want to help save the earth. Let me ask you, are you willing to give up electricity, television, your phone, and anything else produced from a factory?
