I'm writing a book about this character! To --- --- Babyhood “It’s a boy?!” Mrs. Willow shrieked. “Calm down, calm down. There’s cute baby in the room.” The nurse, Ms. Dale, moved her hands down as if she was pushing something to ground. “Great. A comedian!” Mrs. Willow stubbornly cocked her head and grunted. “We can-” Ms. Dale started, but was cut off by Mrs. Willow. “You can what?” Mrs. Willow sneered. “We can make him a girl. Also, what’s her, um, his name?” Ms. Dale replied, smiling with clear white teeth but frowning with cool red eyebrows. I feel bad for her. “Elijah.” Mrs. Willow glared with seemingly endless blue eyes. “Now on with you. Change the gender before I call your manager!” The nurse hurried into a small white room with me. My gender was changed. Now, this doesn’t mean the end of the chapter, no, no. Mrs. Willow was mad (not surprising), ‘cause right after my gender was changed, the nurse quickly ruined my life. “She’ll still act like a boy.” Bombs dropped. Life ruined. Mrs. Willow acted grateful, pleasant, whatever you want to call it. She drove straight up to the dumpsters by the forest. The dumpsters were over there because the city’s founder started making town hall, made the dumpsters, and then decided to go somewhere else. Why didn’t they take the dumpsters? I don’t know. 1 Anyways, Mrs. Willow threw me in there. Good woman, isn’t she? I was trash. Hungry, thirsty, cold. All of that changed when the wolves came. They took care of me, loved me, stuff like that. I learned the wolf language. But that’s not the end of the wolves. At 4 years old, a gold ring engulfed me. “AHH! MAMA! Mama!” I howled. Mama wolf came too late. I was half wolf. Awesome? Yeah. Scary? Yes. Year later, I heard my brothers, sisters, Mama and Daddy growling like bigfoot was standing right there. He wasn’t, but a woman and a man were. They picked me up and brought me to their house. I had a 7 year old sister named Lexi in that family. I was homeschooled with Lexi, because we were both behind. 2 New School I’m 13 now. Everything is great with me and Lexi. Now, let me continue. I walked silently into the den. My Dad stroked his orange beard and looked confused. “Lexi?” Dad shouted, “Where is the remote?” In response, Lexi stormed in. She grabbed our remote and pointed it to the square my family calls a TV. The TV turned on, and Lexi flicked her red hair with her dark skin. I quickly turned sad. I was a misfit. White hair, pale skin, a black eye and a blue one. A tail. I didn’t fit in. But isn’t that good? I don’t know. “Ellie? Can you move out of the way?” Dad asked. I stomped over to the couch and flopped on. Nice and comfy. My ears were still down. “Good morning sunshine!” Mom smiled, walking in. “Me or Dad?” I pointed to my chest then to Dad. “You!” Mom had the biggest smile I’ve ever seen. “Because I have surprise!” I nodded in response. “You’re going to public school!” My Mom jumped up and down. My tail stopped wagging. “Thank you, I’m so flattered!” I said sarcastically. “Elijah!” Mom snapped. I left the room. Me and Lexi share rooms. But now that Lexi is almost 16, she is going to get the guest room. I layed on my bed, staring at the ceiling. I felt guilty. I heard the door creak. Then everything was black. Sorry for the cliffhanger! It's a W.I.P Any questions? Feel free to ask 'em! Also, don't mind my misspelling of 'Lexi'. They're weird adoptive parents, k? Thanks for this amazing song! THANK ME FOR THE BOOK! THANK --- --- FOR THE OC IDEA!
