NOTICE: I did all of this animation!!
Hᴏᴡ ᴛᴏ: Aɴɪᴍᴀᴛᴇ ᴀɴ ᴇʏᴇ ʙʟɪɴᴋ 1.) First, draw a normal eye. Make it medium size, and if it's too big, adjust it by using the size tool. 2.) Then, redraw the eye a tad bit bigger. This way, it will make it bounce and will make it look better. If this is too hard for you, you can always select the eye and make it bigger. 3.) Draw the eye slightly closed this time, and make sure its in the same position. Again, you may use the select tool. Make a new costume again, and redraw to make it bounce a bit. 4.) Draw the eye closed. This is the most simple part, so don't worry if it looks bad. 5.) Redraw the eye closed, and Voila! You have made an eye blink! Good job! If you want, you could duplicate the frames again to make it blink forever. Check inside the project for details on the costumes. Hᴏᴡ ᴛᴏ: ᴀɴɪᴍᴀᴛᴇ ᴇᴀʀ ᴛᴡɪᴛᴄʜ 1.) First, draw the ear up on you character. Also, to make it look a bit better and look like an actual ear, add the inside of it too. 2.) If you want to make it more animated, you need more frames. I think I only used like, 3-4 frames. However, I think it still looks good. 3.) Draw the ear slightly closed, and also, I wouldn't recommend that you use the select tool, so yeah XD 4.) Okay, now all you do is draw the ear closed all the way - but show the inside of it so it looks better. Check in the project for details :) 5.) Congrats, you made it to the end! Now, all you need to do, (This is optional) is duplicate all of the costumes and put them in the correct order so that it will go up, and then back down again, if that makes sense. If not, then go in the project for detail on the costume design. Hᴏᴡ ᴛᴏ: ᴀɴɪᴍᴀᴛᴇ ᴀ ʀᴜɴɴɪɴɢ ᴄʏᴄʟᴇ 1.) Okay, so first, I used this for a reference. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yl3IX6hgNss&t=728s Idk why it skips forward a bit, but you might have to go back in the video to start at the beginning. 2.) Now that you have a ref, use that to make a stand pose, a forward pose, and back pose. If you want, you follow the video, but I skip ahead and get to the actual leg animating part. Check inside the project for my way of doing it this animation. 3.) It's hard to explain this, so that's why the video was here to help you guys :D Anyway, the video explains much more than I do because I can't show you what to do. Hᴏᴡ ᴛᴏ: Aɴɪᴍᴀᴛᴇ ᴀ ғʟʏ ᴄʏᴄʟᴇ 1.) This is really one of my favorites, it's so simple! You could do this is like, five minutes even without a video! You basically draw a wing in flying position, and and use the select tool! 2.) Once you have drawn your flying position wing, you want to select the whole thing, and just bring it down very little. A little bit goes a long way. “Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return.” -Leonardo da Vinci 3.) Do the same thing, but duplicate the frame you just selected to make it smaller. Select the whole thing, and then shrink it to make it a tad bit smaller. 4.) This is the last time you shrink it. Select, shrink, move on. 5.) Last step! Now, just draw the wing closed completely. I do not recommend using the select tool, but you could if you want to. Look inside the project for details. 6.) Again, you can duplicate all of the frames again on your flying cycle to make it look more real. For instance, you don't want to have a closed up wing just turn into the flying. Does that make sense? Well, not unless you are the Flash...? ------------------------- I really hope this helped you. Feel free to remix, and make some of these animating cycles! I honestly hope that you guys can get into advanced animating maps with this! You guys are all amazing! Have fun, and again, I hope that this works for you guys. :D -
