The charming video game is meant for younger children learning their basic shapes. The game, titled A Day in the Park, takes place throughout different areas of a park. Seeing as the game is designed for younger children, mostly ages ranging from 3-6, they probably do not have the ability to read yet, or their reading ability is fairly incomplete. Therefore, the vast majority of the script is narrated to insure that the child will understand exactly how to play the game. In the first scene, the player must find four circles in order to advance on to the next level. When one of the circles is clicked on, it produces an audible sound for the child to hear, which is an indication that they have found the correct shape. After the sound plays, the shape disappears, another sign for the child that they have found the correct shape. When the player finds all of the shapes in the circle level, they advance to the next level, where they have to find rectangles. After they have found 4 rectangles in the second level, they advance to that last level, where they are to find 4 squares. In total, there are three levels until the game is completed. Between each level, there is a narrated slide depicting what a circle, square, and rectangle look like, in case the child has trouble remembering what the specific shape on a level looks like. A Day in the Park is close to impossible to fail. The player has as much time as they need to find the shapes on each level, making the game appropriate for to targeted age group. Enjoy!
