Use the A and D or Left and Right arrow keys to move around. Click on anything you may find interesting and it will give a brief description about it. If you touch the edges of the stage, you'll move to the next area, make sure you explore everything! If you click on the sign pointing to the threats or food, you'll be instantly warped to that area. If you click on the 'Environment' sign, you'll be warped to a completely different biome, those biomes will showcase the environments that The Weeping Phantom is incapable of surviving in and why.
(The credits are below this description) This is a school project where we had to simulate the adaptations used by an animal that we created. The animal I designed is 'The Weeping Phantom.' This creature is only found in Temperate Boreal Forests (Taiga biomes) and dwells in cave systems. It uses its claws to dig up minerals to eat and has a thick coat of fur to survive in the cold climates of Taiga biomes. Like cave bats, it can use echolocation to navigate in the pitch black cave systems. To do this, it makes strange sobbing like sounds, giving its name 'The Weeping Phantom.' Credits: - To make the sprite change animations when it moves was a script I learnt in Griffpatch's platformer tutorial: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/67727504/ - I found the ambient wind effect you hear when your in a snowy area or in the cave on this project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/169527547/ (I don't actually know where the wind effect came from, if you need to know, maybe ask the creator of that project.)
