This is the starter code for Operation Code: Coding in the Science Lab. Help Rudy the Robot conduct an experiment! You will practice: sending and receiving broadcasts, changing the size and color effects of sprites, setting up loops with repeat blocks, showing and hiding sprites, arranging objects in layers, and using sound. To get started, click on "See Inside." As you make the changes below, save the file so you don't lose your work!
This program is part of Cherry Lake Press's Operation Code series. This series presents early elementary learners with a story-based challenge they can solve using Scratch 3. Simple text and pre-populated templates guide students to deepen their understanding of coordinates, movement, sprite characteristics, events, and more. Each book includes extension activities and opportunities for students to customize and experiment with their code. A “Pro Tip!” on each page helps students grasp the conceptual understanding behind the code block.
