This is our final code for Operation Code: Coding on the Playground. Click the Green Flag to have Becca jump on the trampoline. As she jumps she switches costumes and makes a sound. No code is ever completely finished. Add your own ideas to the code!
This program is part of Cherry Lake Press's Operation Code series. This series presents early elementary learners with a story-based challenge they can solve using Scratch 3. Simple text and pre-populated templates guide students to deepen their understanding of coordinates, movement, sprite characteristics, events, and more. Each book includes extension activities and opportunities for students to customize and experiment with their code. A “Pro Tip!” on each page helps students grasp the conceptual understanding behind the code block. The playground and jumping girl images are in the public domain and downloaded from Pixabay.com. The dinosaur graphic is available within the Scratch 3 software.
