This is an evolution simulator that basically runs itself. Whenever a glorb gets enough food, it will have a baby with slightly different stats than it. If the glorbs go too long without food, they'll die. You're left with only the glorbs best at getting to food without running out of energy. Have fun seeing what the ideal glorb is. EVOLVING STATISTICS: - Speed: This determines the fastest each glorb can move. The square of Speed (well, CurrentSpeed actually) is proportional to the energy spent per iteration, so moving slower is more efficient, but moving faster will help you beat the other glorbs. - Intelligence: This determines how hard a glorb will try to get to a food, depending on closeness. If it's on the other side of the screen, a more Intelligent glorb will stop moving and not waste its energy. - ChildInvestment: This determines how much of their food each glorb will give to a newborn child. Higher values mean your child has a better chance of surviving, but you'll more likely die, while low levels mean your child will probably die, while you can live on and make more babies. - BreedingEnergy determines how much energy a glorb needs to reproduce. Pretty self-explanatory. evolverAmount just indicates how many glorbs are currently alive, and the speech bubble on top of the glorbs indicates how much energy each glorb has left.
This simulator is based off of the real-life process of evolution. This is basically how real evolution works, except in this case, there are only 4 traits that can evolve.
