This is the starter code for Operation Code: Coding on the Playground. Help Becca become a trampoline whiz! You will practice: making sprites glide, changing coordinates, duplicating and editing a costume, adding sound, and customizing code. Your challenge is to write the code that will allow Becca to jump on the trampoline. To get started, click on "See Inside." As you make the changes below, save the file so you don't lose your work!
This program is part of Cherry Lake Press's Operation Code series. This series presents early elementary learners with a story-based challenge they can solve using Scratch 3. Simple text and pre-populated templates guide students to deepen their understanding of coordinates, movement, sprite characteristics, events, and more. Each book includes extension activities and opportunities for students to customize and experiment with their code. A “Pro Tip!” on each page helps students grasp the conceptual understanding behind the code block. The playground and jumping girl images are in the public domain and downloaded from Pixabay.com. The dinosaur graphic is available within the Scratch 3 software.
