Chapter 3 (551 word) The woman who went by the name Eloise, and the shaggy haired man who went by the name Jason were sitting at desks in a building with a grand hall and a humongous chandelier made of many different types of golden crystals and gold. Hanging from the chandelier were small figures of many different types of dragons. Through the building were many pillars holding up the lower roof finished with glossy wood of all colors. Many people kept walking through the grand doors, going about their daily business. A rather wide woman dressed in a pink outfit walked in through the doors and towards Eloise and Jason. She was holding a bundle of newspapers and dropped one on their desks. She walked away without saying anything and left them to read the newspaper. On the cover it read “Enemy of the department, Nicholas Shaffner killed in confrontation.” Jason snorted, “Thanks for the credit, reporters” he said sarcastically. She smiled at him, playfully punching his shoulder. “We don’t want anyone getting too much publicity” she said in a deep voice, clearly mocking someone. Another man approached them, holding a file. The man, tall with shaggy hair, gave the feeling that he was a bit of a nerd. He put it down on their desk and said, “When you guys got Nicholas you saved two nymphs.” Jason raised his eyebrows “No wonder Nicholas went to all that trouble to capture them, they would have been very useful in an attack on the department.” Eloise nodded. “Anyways, here is the history of there kind, Incase you need to ask any questions you know what to ask.” The man walked away, leaving the two to read the file. Eloise opened it and they proceeded to reading it. Nymph (Nymphus Aquarius) Creatures that can inhabit oceans and land. They have a strange skin tone that appears like someone took highlighter makeup and brushed it all over tan skin. Their hair stands a few centimeters of her back, as if it were a plant. Nymphs have both females and males in their species. They appear to have tattoos of flower vines on their lower arms and lower calves. These are not tattoos and need at least a little sunlight to maintain health. These creatures can summon either plants or water to defeat even the most powerful enemies, depending on the individual creature. This makes them extremely desirable in any army. These creatures can have other earth related skills and powers but this is very uncommon. History Humans had no knowledge of these creatures until the early 1400s, when they began moving out of the water, and onto the land. Humans were wary at first, but once they realized they were not much different than other sub human creatures, such as elves and mermaids. They were quick to accept them. Up until the 1950-1960s these creatures were very common. But one day they just seemed to disappear. Rumor has it that they all just died on the same day. But there are many other theories. Eloise closed the file and looked at him. “Are those too they only ones in the whole world?” She asked. He nodded “It seems so, but maybe she could tell us what happened to the others of her kind..” he said
