For swc weekly #1 - create and describe a planet 611 words This is the Water Realm. It's not necessarily it's own planet, but instead Planet Earth in a separate dimension, sort of superimposed upon Earth. The Water Realms' inhabitants consist of water elementals, mermaids, selkies, siren, and other water based creatures. As you can see, the Water Realm is a true blue planet. It is surrounded by a great ocean, in which many of the realms' inhabitants live in. The castles, palaces, and homes of these are scattered across throughout the region, most notably converging in the capital of the Water Realm - Atlantis. The largest island in the sea takes up approximately one fourth of the total surface area of the Realm. Known as Celeste, or the Great Continent, it's soil, flora, and fauna are primarily blue, tinted with purples and whites. Rarely, these are found including several other colors, most of which are green. The inhabitants of Celeste and its surrounding islands are those who cannot permanently live in water, and on occasion, those who split their time between ocean and land. Celeste is composed primarily of water elementals, who can breathe water, but are much more comfortable on land. The flora of the lands are often used, along with the multitudes of fish in the sea for survival. Some species, such as selkies, split their time between ocean and land. Others, like mermaids, live only in the ocean, unable to survive on land. Despite these barriers, the Water Realm is known for being one of the most peaceful realms. Celeste's west coast (shown here) is home to two of the five bays - the smaller, top one is known as Laet Harbor. The bottom, large one is the largest of Celeste's bays. Known as Atlantis Sea, traveling outwards from the coast will take you to shining spire of pearl in the middle of the ocean. Touch any side of it, and you will be magically transported into the castle of Atlantis. Here lives the Ruler of the Water Realm. Unlike other realms, which determine their ruler by royalty, each Ruler is selected by the one before, creating a bind similar to apprenticeship. Therefore, the species of the Rules will continue to change, and so will the gender. Reports of bribery have been seen in the past, and the current system in place makes this virtually impossible. Magic ensures the virtue of every Ruler, and so there is no way to somehow manipulate the decision. Each species votes on a representative every 3 years, and they report to the Ruler, allowing for them to fix any problems in the Realm and improve life. Together, they make up the Judgement of the Water Realm - the ruling class, lawmakers, and judges of the Realm, while the Ruler is part of the Realmwide Judgement. Along the coast is Celeste's largest city, known as Little Atlantis. Although only around half the size of Atlantis, it is a flourishing trade and arts center, and all Travelers that arrive are sent to a pearl column very similar to the one that lets you find Atlantis. The rest of the Water Realm is filled with long island chains, the larger often known as popular tropical tourist destinations, the smaller ones accessible by boat for a quieter, more private beach experience. Known as the most peaceful across the Realms, others who try to seek the harmony that the Water Realm provides often travel here, trying to find the secret to such a happy existence. Marine biologists also visit here, although the flora and fauna may be different from their home realm. Known for being one of the most artistic Realms, it is often visited by aspiring painters, sculptors, and jewelers. Haha I had too much fun with this.
