for horroreo, exactly 500 words oof i made this on my phone in litter-ally 5 minutes don't litter ok info & stuff: somnus is a dark & depressing planet that was named after the roman god of sleep, somnus. it is extremely small and lightweight. it’s a gas “giant” because it is made out of rocks and debris. it’s so isolated that the closest large object is billions of light years away. it was created 9.2 billion years ago and, for several million years, it was filled with water, life, and living creatures in the still solid core. the creatures living there were small creatures, only a few millimeters in length, similar to trilobites and can withstand harsh and cold temperatures. of course, there were only a few million of them since somnus is so tiny, but they were happy. they ate rock, dust, and algae growing in the water. not long after, something still unknown happened that all of a sudden killed all life and removed all water on it. scientists most likely think that there was some sort of extreme collision where a very large (or regular-sized, just large compared to somnus) object ran into tiny somnus. it’s named somnus because it was “awake” when there was life but, after the possible collision, it went to “sleep”. scientists also have been watching a large, fast-moving, and water-filled asteroid that it coming toward somnus. although it will still be several billion years until it hits, it will leave water on somnus, bringing back life, and somnus will be “awake” once more. it is theorized that this cycle of “waking up” and “sleeping” will continue happening until somnus dies/the end of the universe since the general area that it is in attracts many asteroids and fast-moving objects, many of which have water. somnus also has an abundance of calcium, which helps people to fall asleep. somnus is found in the bottom right corner of the andromeda galaxy. it has no moons and no stars anywhere near, so it’s very dark and very cold. it’s core is still solid as it always was, but is smaller than it was before because the collision broke off some parts of it. it will continue to get smaller with every collision, even ones bringing it life. eventually, there will just be bits of water and life on each rock piece making up the planet. although pieces of rock and debris colliding together will sometimes make it more solid, the larger collisions affect it so much that it all becomes tiny debris again. there are 2 very prominent rings and several other rings that are invisible to the naked eye. it is made entirely out of rock, dust, debris, and other things similar to that. the closest object to somnus is the large, fast-moving, and water-filled asteroid that i mentioned before. some stats: (some mentioned in image, some not) 169.7 miles in circumference, 13.82 kilograms, formed 9.2 billion years ago (and is slowly getting smaller), -629°f average surface temperature, one day is .18 earth days, one year is .8 earth years. the end. i added the "the end" bc it was at flipping 498 words and i was lazy bye
