This is my basic attempt at creating a snapchat filter. Press space to change between animal masks. Press up/down arrows to change color of masks, press left/right to change the size of the mask so it fits your face on the screen. Green flag to reset.
This project was for #gettingunstuck day 4. The task was to make your sprite change by pressing keys on the keyboard. If I had more time I would focus on creating one mask and would get it to do more interesting things. It could also be fun to make a facial hair mask project. I wish i could have the mask follow my face, but that is tricky when the camera image of my face is not a sprite. This project also made me more curious about how facial recognition works - how does Snapchat get their filters to fit our faces automatically and so seamlessly?
