500+ words on my fictional planet, plus a really really quick doodle of a forest on the planet with a native animal. Planet of Nigreos It’s mostly green. Unlike humans, who demolished plants and destroyed them to make way for technology and innovation, the Nie worked around and with the plants of their planet when they developed their technology. The climate of most of Nigreos is tropical jungles and deciduous forests. No deserts. Because they weren’t afraid to work with plants, and got an earlier start on a different planet, the Nie evolved faster than humans did. Their technology is a few decades ahead of modern human tech, and a little less than a century ahead when it comes to medical technology. There is one large continent on Nigreos, making up about 33% of the planet, unlike earth’s multiple continents. Because of this, there is one government system- a monarchy, ruled by a king or queen, whoever is the eldest child of the past king or queen. The ruling monarch always has an advisor- an advisor is assigned to each future king or queen when they turn eight, so they can work together and learn from each other at an early age. The advisor is almost always a teenager when they are assigned to a monarch. Many animals live on Nigreos. The Nie have a much closer bond with the animals inhabiting their planet and a good understanding of their behaviors and needs. Most Nie are either strictly vegetarian, or eat only small amounts of meat. Animal list: (I’ve only created a few animals...I made these ones in March and just summarized them here) Zeezee- like an earth llama, but with the hair of a toy poodle. It stands at about 20 inches tall, or less. Colored with neutral colors in spots like that of a deer. Since it was domesticated early, even most wild zeezees are not afraid of Nie. Eliast- like a small bird dragon. Wings like a bird, but body shape and head/neck of a great lizard-dragon. The wings replace where its front legs would be. Usually comes in a shade of blue or green. Usually has a crest or feathered patch on the top of its head. Mimics noises, and imprints on whoever it first sees when it hatches. Fierce loyalty. Luewe- a small fox-like canine with giant ears that stand erect like an earth serval. Usually grey, with only a small amount of variation in color and markings. Intelligent and loyal to those that are kind to it, but only few have them as domestic pets. Queie- like a tall hare, but maned with long fur on its chest. Come in a variety of colors, with ears reaching up to 20 inches in length. They are wise and empathic. The population of Nigreos grew so much, that even with their great care at maintaining the ecosystem of the planet, they began to run out of natural resources. Plants abounded, but because of their hesitance to mine for energy and their great distance from their sun, they were having trouble with power. They decided to expand to the closest planet with a similar ecosystem: earth
