I realised if I worked on this any longer I would probably end up re-doing all of the coding so I thought 'Let's just share it and get it out there' STORY BELOW \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/ Name: Vimakoer (translation of 'rain dog' in Estonian) Sorry the stories a bit rushed, I wanted to finish it at roughly the same time as the project: Centuries ago, the first dog walked on the first grass on the first island in the first ocean. As he wandered his home, staring at the sky, and marveling at the wonders it held, a soft voice called from behind him. “Hello dear friend” the dog jumped and turned around, but he could see nothing. “I’m down here” The voice called again. The dog looked down and saw a small grey lizard sitting on a rock. “Oh, hello! Sorry, I didn’t see you there!” “It’s quite alright.” The lizard replied “I was just watching you stare at the sky and thought I’d offer you a gift” The dog tilted its head in curiosity “A gift?” he asked quizzically. The lizard licked one of it’s light orange eyeballs “Yes. A gift. I’d like to give you the gift of joining the clouds in the sky!” The dog wagged its tail in excitement and spun a circle “Oh! That would be lovely! I must get my friends Turtle and Bird to come join me!” The dog started to leap away but only got a few leaps when the lizard called after him ”Wait! No! This gift is only for you!” The dog walked back and asked “Why me?” “Well, I’ll give you the gift now, and then you can give it to them later you see.” A small crafty smile crossed the lizards lips at his own cleverness. “Oh, okay! Hurry and give it to me so I can give it to them!” “Very well.” The lizard whipped it’s tail and the dog started to rise into the air, his fur rippling like waves. “You will now forever be part of the sky, your gift is to join the clouds and spread life to all, but you will forever be alone.” The dog whimpered as he realised he had been tricked. His rippling fur turned into water, his eyes turned sea green and he joined the clouds in the sky. He was, as the lizard said, forever to wander the clouds, spreading life, but always alone.
