See my full collection here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/313253109/ Small project! With a couple of new rocks/minerals I got since I shared my collection! Follow along with the numbers on the images with the numbers below. To see a description and what mineral/rock each of them are! 1. A new piece of Thomsonite in Basalt, my favorite mineral! My geology-obsessed teacher gave it to me after finding out we share the same interest. 2. You can see some of the circular reddish "Bands" on the Thomsonite. Giving it's distinct look. 3. Some Shiva Lingam from western India! Of course, I didn't go there. I brought it from a local gem store while hanging out with a friend! 4. Apparently the reddish-brown part are quartz (crystalline) with iron oxide deposits, which is why it's red. 5. I have been collecting jasper, and this is my second favorite! This is a Kambaba Jasper from Madagascar. 6. Me trying to remove the reflections on the stone, but clearly isn't working.. 7. Cowlesite from Ireland! I tried researching about this mineral, but didn't find much on it... anyone know anything about this mineral?? 8. This is really small. Only about 3-4 centimeters in length. 9. This is some Danburite from Characas, Mexico! 10. This is SUPER tiny! Only about half a centimeter wide! Which my parents were starting to question why I got it... I have my reasons. 11. My new minerals lined up from smallest to tallest. I think I forgot to add photos of the white selenite rod, XD. It's from Morocco but I brought it from a gem store I often shop by. Which the owner generously gave to me for free <3 Hope you enjoyed! Have a nice day!
