As such he has trust issues and is very timid. When river spirits turn 5 in spirit years, they move out from the parent's territory and migrate to an unprotected stretch of river. Delta protects a stretch of river that is known as the Azure Rapids. He likes to stay there and swim in the currents, but he is not confined to just the river. He tends to get lonely, so as a pastime he searches for interesting pebbles on the banks and in the water.
