Citizens of Funopolis, The Fun Runners, highly value creativity and fun. But a recent coalition known as The Work Force is invading; their goal is to replace all fun with boredom, monotonicity, and productivity. Control the war hero Ted Ankling as he fights back against The Work Force with wacky and fun weapons! Inspired by Splatoon and Cuphead, I started making this game several years ago in Spring 2019. I once again fell victim to high expectations, and left this game unfinished as a result. I have since motivated myself, cut some corners, and finally finished the game. I'm still quite happy with how it turned out! Actually, the original inspiration for this game was a sort of fighting game that my brother and I played outside, using unconventional weapons like a dodgeball, a sled, or a garden hose. I initially thought about making a multiplayer fighting game like this, but eventually opted to make a boss rush game out of it. I started making this project on March 20, 2019. ===== CREDITS ===== INSPIRATION "Splatoon" and "Splatoon 2" by Nintendo "Cuphead" by Studio MDHR DESIGN (the name "Sting Sweep") (inspiration for the Sea Paddler boss) Joseph Fourier (design of the Heat Equation) SCRIPTS (scoring script) SPRITES (grass sprite) (watering can sprite) (splat sprite) (another splat sprite) (rose sprite) Nintendo (character models inspired by Pokémon) JapanYoshi, not a Scratcher (Project Paintball font) Paper Mate Mechanical Pencils (MP-02 design) Google Images (some tracing and inspiration) MUSIC Nintendo (Splatoon 2 Music) Ubisoft (Rayman Legends "Grannies World Tour") SOUNDS (button enlarge sound) (various sound effects) (various sound effects) (Squeeze Theorem aim sound) (Squeeze Theorem splat sound) (Chef Special splat sound) (Walter Slosher slosh sound) (MP-02 fire sound) (various sound effects) (Heat Equation explosion sound) (Wrench falling sound) Ryan Lloyd ("Water Splash Sound FX 1" on YouTube) P-Effects ("SPLAT SOUND EFFECT" on YouTube) 0 ("Fire Sound Effect" on YouTube) superfunnysheet ("Water Sound Effect" on YouTube) Sandra Michelle ("Electricity Sound Effect" on YouTube) Sound Effects ("Lawn Mower Sound Effect" on YouTube) Coke Moke ("Dice - SOUND EFFECT -" on YouTube) Sandlot Games (Slyder Adventures "Ready?
