I've made two new species for roleplay or any other purposes! I hope you like them. I have two examples, Nimble and Cardinal. I'll be developing their stories sometime soon. c: (space or arrows to go through slides) === - These species co-exist with one another in forest/river environments. Open fields, marsh, and mountains are not as inhabited. - They live on their own planet, "Vaporterr", however, word has spread that there are several hundred humans also living on the planet. It is a relatively warm habitat, but there are several white-capped mountain peaks. - Both species live in large groups. - There could be several other species that inhabit the planet, none of which are known as of now. — character 1. Nimble is a "hydrocarn", 'hydr' meaning water and 'carn' meaning carnivore. They are big, ferret-like creatures with long front claws and a finned tail. Coloration includes both bright or dark variations of warm and cold colors. They mainly live on land, digging burrows and caring for their tribes. These tribes consist of 3-5 individual families-- they function through ranks. Also, they are experts at fishing and climbing. They feed on birds, fish, and several insects. They do not eat plants. This species is capable of communicating with avihomans, and usually they are found living with large communities of avihomans. They exchange work, such as digging and hunting, for shelter. --- character 2. Cardinal is an "avihoman", 'avi' meaning bird and 'homan' meaning human being or man. They are relatively social folk who live in large villages. However, they are not connected together by any monarchs, and function more like a direct democracy. Their heights can be varied (Cardinal is relatively short for his species), and their feathers practically scale the entire color wheel (ex. you wouldn't find as many purple feathers on an avihoman as you would brown feathers). They are capable of flying for short distances, but tire quite quickly. It is not uncommon for them to form work forces and relationships with hydrocarns, though the relationships are strictly and simply friendship or business-based. They live in small homes that are crafted as either huts or cabins. Unfortunately for them, several "out-of-hand" hydrocarns (rabid, feral, etc) will hunt and eliminate any avihomans that stray into their path. However, they tend to fight in numbers, and make a formidable defense against any attacking hydrocarns. ===
