Story: Rustpaw bowed her head at the whisper that remained of the once warm kit. She dared not look at it, closing her eyes as her tears took over. "Why are you crying, Mom?" It spoke normally, still the lively kit. "It's nothing, honey. Just rest. Be at rest and sleep." "Yeah... I am kind of tired..." He yawned. "Let's go back home, okay?" "Alright. I just want to be warm. It's chilly out here." He pranced along side his mother as she walked towards the clan. "You may not see me tomorrow, okay? I'm going to sleep in." She laughed sadly. "Okay. As long as I can talk with you some other time?" The kit whisper smiled at her. "Of course. You will have to find me, though." He nodded. They arrived in the den, Rustpaw tucking her kit into moss for the last time. He yawned and snuggled into the moss, "Even the moss is cold. Winter is coming soon... I will dream of you tonight, Mom. My dreams are only things that make me happy." "Thank you. I love you, okay?" Her voice wavered. "I love you too, Mom. Good night... I'll see you later!" He grinned and closed his eyes. "Sweet dreams, Marshpelt..." She sat by his side as he faded into the darkness, the only light left being moonlight, not nearly as bright as his whisper was. The moss went limp slowly. Rustpaw laid onto it sadly and cried into a deep sleep.
