I know you've read it a thousand times, but it's true: You shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Just because pit bulls have a reputation for being vicious doesn't mean they all are. Just like all other dog breeds, each dog is its own individual being. Furthermore, the reason these dogs have a rep for being aggressive is, in fact, because WE trained them to be that way. How can you say that it's fair to kill any living being for acting the way it was told to? Pit bulls make up 40% of all dogs euthanized in shelters annually; half a million pit bulls are being killed in shelters PER YEAR. Only 1 in 600 pit bulls will ever find a loving home, though they are sweet and loyal by nature. Yes, these are the same statistics mentioned in my other projects about pit bulls. That doesn't make them any less horrible.
