This is a music looper where you record a measure of music in real-time and it loops back to you all nice and in time. To record a phrase, press the orange circle button at the bottom. There will be a two measure count in, and then you use the keys (see notes) to record. To change the tempo, press the tempo button at the bottom left. To change quantization (subdivision), press the quanti button next to the tempo button. Note that the number of steps changes with quantization, so it always totals one measure (1/8 there are 8 steps, 1/64 there are 64 steps, etc) To jump to downbeat of the measure, press the rewind button (2 backwards arrows) To stop the loop, press the black square To play the phrase, press the play button (one forward arrow) When you record the phrase, the notes are drawn on the screen and there is a list of midi note values for the phrase (// = rest). When you play the phrase, there is a playhead showing your place. At the top left is the button for Synth Settings (not stored in save file): Change the sound and octave of the synth Tempo is shown top middle and quantization top right. To export the file, press the download file (the down arrow with the fancy tail) and copy and paste the code that pops up. To import a file, press the upload button (the up arrow with the fancy tail) and enter your code. *Make sure you paste in the whole code, including $ signs and spaces. It's a workaround for how scratch handles full lists. To select a preset, use the 1-5 buttons on the laptop keyboard. To store them, click "see inside", go to the "presets" list, and manually enter them in (same format as save codes) Comments and questions are welcome, and don't be afraid to share codes in the comment section below!
