*** Controls *** Play the project, then: [Move Mouse] to move the light source (yes it lags - sorry - far too much processing going on). [Left Click] to place tiles. [Space Key] removes tiles. *** What is this *** My end goal is to create another game a bit like Terraria, but I wanted to experiment with smaller tile sizes. Believe it or not, there are 1200 tiles on screen here! I'm wondering if I can make this a non-scrolling game (paged rather than scrolling) to avoid the need to redraw everything all the time. Anyhow, on my wanderings with the lighting engine I have accidentally created this amazing illusion of scattered soft light with shadows... but IT REALLY ISN'T - it's just a very lucky artifact of the light leakage through walls overriding the light going around the walls... But it was so cool I wanted to share it now anyhow ;) Subscribe to me on YouTube for great tutorials of coding in Scratch!
