I gave up on trying to integrate a story mode into the already existing and complete code of the current version of Unyielding Sentry as it was hard and slow, and have decided to remake the game completely with more polish and streamlined code to allow a story mode to take place. This means that I will not be actively updating this version, apart from fixing any bugs that surface. Stay tuned for updates.
