8/1/19 I just put a picture of roses there so you don’t have to stare at the scratch cat or a blank white screen (I did take that photo please don’t use it) Alright so I wrote a character description that I was really proud of (before I re-read the prompt and realized I had to write an actual story) so you get to read that too :) Sorry I couldn’t indent a new paragraph... it bothers me but I don’t have access to a tab button currently. CHARACTER DESCRIPTION: Grayson Valencio Grayson Valencio is a young man, age eighteen, and the college roommate of Aden Lutz. He and Aden met two years prior in their junior year of high school. Grayson has dark silver hair. He had it dyed a year ago and re-dyed it because he had enjoyed the color. His hair was originally black, and the roots peeking from his scalp blend into the dirty silver color of the dyed hair. Usually his locks are either left alone or brushed. As a result, Grayson’s signature hairstyle is quite simply messy. His eyes are a shade of frosted blue and his dark lashes are notably thick. Similarly to Aden, he likes to wear jackets and sweaters, except when it’s hot, of course. He wears a medical mask identical to Aden’s, (as well as most people) differing only in color, as Aden’s is black and Grayson’s is a light grey. He has a few pairs of shoes that he brought with him to college, and has a habit of leaving them a few feet away from the door to the dorm room and in the middle of the small hallway. This causes Aden to trip over Grayson’s shoes quite often. Grayson is the kind of guy that’s fun to be around. Although he can get very loud and is somewhat annoying towards several people, he has a good nature and a great sense of humor. ACTUAL STORY “Dude! Again with the shoes?” Aden yelled, having tripped over a pair of Grayson’s converse. “Sorry man, I just forget to put them to the side!” Grayson shouted back with a significantly larger amount of volume, removing an earbud from one ear in case Aden wanted to say anything else. Said boy walked into the tiny living room of the college dorm and sat down on the floor. “Rough day?” Grayson asked sympathetically, clicking the pause button on his music. Aden gave a low grunt in reply, keeling over backwards and flopping down on the ground. “I’m so tired.” Aden mumbled with his eyes closed, tugging off his medical mask. They were allowed to take them off indoors, if the room or building had a filter. Grayson’s own mask, light grey in color, was left carelessly on a small side table. “I know you are.” Grayson sighed, running his fingers through his dark silver locks. He had failed to brush his hair today, and as a result his fingers caught on a few tangles. “Nobody told me college was going to be so tiring.” Aden pouted, rolling over to rest on his side. “I want to sleep but I have homework.” “College is just specified school, and school is tiring. What did you expect, bro?” Grayson said with a grin, leaning forwards and resting his arms on his thighs. “C’mon man, at least complain with me.” “I do hate homework though. Your last comment was spot on.” Grayson nodded. “I also want to sleep, but can’t because I also have homework.” Aden spoke something unintelligible under his breath, covering his face with an arm. “Alright bro. Let’s go tackle our homework.” Grayson declared reluctantly, adding in a dose of false optimism. Aden sighed in reply, before grudgingly getting to his feet. The two eighteen year olds went to retrieve their bags and tackle their homework.
