There’s a whole other world hidden under our feet. Most humans don’t know it exists, and the ones that do don’t live long enough to tell anyone else. The realm of demons. There are a few entrances hidden in the realm of mortals. No human has ever found them all. Each section of the world of demons has an entirely different geography. Many of these territories mimic those of the human world, but some would be considered fantastical to any humans that set their eyes on them. There are lush, green forests, where the trees wave in a kind breeze. There are volcanic wastelands, and ice covered plains. One of the territories is simply a void, where spectral demons can be found. You could step off the edge of the bordering territories into the blackness and never emerge. Within many of the territories are peaceful villages, where human-like demons live. The main inhabitants of the demon and realm are of course, demons. There are several different types of demons. Lesser demons are one of such types. There are also mid level demons and higher demons. Within these three base groups there are several subcategories that all demons can be sorted into. Rarely will you find a lesser demon that is purely evil. Many are mischief makers or demons that simply hide from humans and from the world. Some lesser demons are even benevolent beings, performing acts from healing injured demons to disguising themselves and helping humans. One kind of these lesser demons are the elusive Celantir. The Celantir are demons that grow to be no more than a foot in height. Most of their body is shrouded in wisps of shadow, leaving only their shoulders, neck, and head exposed. Their bodies are very slender, and the all have pitch black eyes and pale skin. Their hair varies in length, and is usually black or shades of dark grey. Each Celantir has a tattoo-like marking on the upper half of their bodies, unique in either design or placement. Celantir are wandering demons, usually choosing not to settle in villages. They are also a part of the demons that jump back and forth from the demon realm to the mortal realm. In the mortal realm they can be found hiding in the shadows of quiet places. Whether it be in a peaceful house in the suburbs, or in a shady forest, Celantir are attracted to calmer settings.
