If you haven't already, check out Starblast.io, the game I got the idea from. When you first click the green flag, you will have to hit [SPACE] to get to the home page. Wait a couple of seconds first. On the home page, click the ship to change colours. When you're ready, click engage hyperdrive (or whatever mode you want to play) to warp into the system. W to fire, A to shoot a missile (If you have one) your ship always moves in the direction of your mouse. Destroy enough asteroids to get a new ship, use [SPACE] to return to the home page at any time. Experiencing lag problems? Try Shift-clicking the green flag for turbo mode. Starblast Meteor Storm 2 is coming! When it is released, note that it is a SEQUEL to this game; a story that trails off from either of the bossfights, so I would recommend trying to beat one before trying out the new game. If you can't, then just ask me about the story of the game. To those who don't have the best PCs, be warned that if you spam fire, it can create a LOT of lag. For the best gameplay, don't use full screen. Be sure to take a look at the programming in the project and please don't remix this. Don't forget to like! Sat 14 Dec 2019: 1.3:Added sleek new boss attack Mon 16 Dec 2019: 1.4: Added large map mode. REPORT ALL BUGS! Thurs 02 Dec 2020: 1.5: Added a warning when shield is disabled. 1.6: Added ship upgrades. Damage is currently only useful in boss fight. Regeneration is useless in survival. Happy new year everyone! Fri 03 Jan: sadly, due to the update including ship upgrades, to keep the boss fight difficult, boss health has been increased to 50000. Comment if you think it should stay like this or if the cost of the upgrades should be increased. Sat 04 Jan: 1.7: Added critical health to ship; only lost when shield is disabled, doesn't recharge. When it falls below 40, shield is lost completely and you can't repair it. Death when it hits 0. I MIGHT add a repair bubble, like the shield bubble, but it repairs critical health. Fri 10 Jan: 1.8: Number activation for upgrades, tested, no bugs so far. Sat 11 Jan: 1.8.5: Added a little more to the trailer. 1.9: Now have a soundtrack in the trailer. In Large map mode the star now flickers. Tue 14 Jan: I am aware that some weak computers don't support this project; I have begun trying to reduce lag and removed repetitive code. this may cause bugs, if so, tell me please. Sun 19 Jan: 2.0: We FINALLY have a death animation in the game now. Patched the HUD appearing on the credits screen. Sat 25 Jan: 2.1: Survival mode is unlocked on defeat of the boss. Progress is saved on the server so you can come back any time after beating the boss and your progress will be saved. !!!WARNING!!! If you have already unlocked survival mode, playing boss fight will lock it again. Please note: If on your profile you are a 'new scratcher' status, this feature will not work. Also, this feature is currently untested so tell me if it is broken. Tues 4 Feb 2.3: Redecorated Thumbnail. Increased fire rate and speed of the alien projectiles. You can now shoot down the alien projectiles. 24th Feb 2020: Homing missile added! It does what it's name says, it locks onto the enemy and follows them, dealing 250 damage. It can only be used in either of the boss fights. Costs 250 points, [A] to shoot. 28th Feb 2020: 2.5: Finally! New range of ship colours(21), also affecting the bullets you fire. Enjoy a sleek new look in game! 5th March 2020: 2.6: 5 new overpowered, huge ships added! recommended to only be used in large map and large map boss fight, as they can get stuck easily. 2.7: Added a sandbox mode for those who just can't get to the highest ships. Hold [U] to get points, hold [D] to deduct points because of a very puzzling bug which skips ships if you hit two asteroids/hit the boss twice at the same time. 27th March 2020: 2.8.5: Heavy mines added in the Large map Bossfight [BETA!] which may not work properly right now i.e: They may appear before you buy them or not appear at all on use, so maybe stick to missiles for now. (D to deploy) Fri 12 Jun 2020: 3.0: NEW TRAILER!!!!! I've added about 4 times more to the trailer, changed the track playing, added a third person view section at the end and reference to the bossfight. Check it out! Wed 24 Jun 2020: 3.1: Ability to hide the HUD; by pressing [H] the upgrades will hide, but are still accessible using the [1], [2] and [3] keys. Press [S] to show again. Wed 16 Sep 2020: I'm not dead guys! Sadly, I have decided to archive this project, as I need to focus on coding Starblast Meteor Storm 2, the Sequel to this game. This means that this game is unlikely to recieve updates, bug fixes, etc. Of course, if a bug IS reported, I WILL DO MY BEST to fix it as soon as possible!
