"Grace is knowing that there is nothing you can do to make God love you more. And there is nothing you could ever do that would make God love you less." ----------------------------------------------------------------------- + meet grace + Name: Grace Alana Kennedy Age: 13 Gender: Female Appearance: Ombre brown and blonde wavy hair, freckles, silver earrings. Personality: Graceful, shy, intelligent, patient, observant and gentle. Likes: Sitting in her garden among the animals and the beauty of nature, as well as reading and painting. Dislikes: People who are loud and obnoxious, war and people who hunt animals for leisure. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- + grace's world + [this is just a very short story] Grace Kennedy ran her fingertips over the emerald-green grass around her, noticing the way the blades swayed slightly in the breeze of dawn, and how they tickled her skin at her soft touch. A cheery chirping above her brought her out of her daze as she observed an enthusiastic bird in vivacious shades of blue. It circled in the air a few time before landing in Grace's extended palm. She smiled shyly, her eyes sparkling as the small creature nestled into her hand, tickling her skin with its miniature talons. A small noise escaped its beak, a mixture of excitement and exhilaration. The breeze ruffled it's feathers as it spread its wings once more, and took flight into sky, swooping amongst the white clouds. A loud rustling distracted Grace from the bird, which was now somewhere beyond the grassy hills. The light pitter-patter of hooves could be heard as a slender brown figure emerged from the bushes. It was a deer! It timidly approached Grace, it's ears twitching with every movement of the wind. Grace barely dared to breathe, in hope that the deer would come close enough to be stroked. Oh, how she would love to feel her fingers against its fluffy fur for the first time! After a few minutes, the deer decided that it was safe, and nuzzled into Grace's neck, making Grace giggle as it's heavy breathing tickled her neck. It was everything Grace had ever dreamed of! A majestic butterfly flew over her head, and Grace sighed in awe at the beauty that nature held within. The deer's ears suddenly pricked up as a loud noise sounded from somewhere up on the hill beyond the pastures. An elderly woman's voice could be heard above the raging river below, and the deer leapt away in a flash. Grace sighed at her grandmother's impatience, wondering if the old lady was aware of the beauty of the world. She reluctantly got to her feet and trudged back up to her cottage on the hill, where her grandmother awaited, with a list of chores in her hands. Grace grumbled as she took the paper, skimming the lengthy list, sighing as she did so. It was going to be a very long day. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- + extra info + When I made this piece of art (if that's what you would call it), I decided to use a bit of a different art style and made it a much more simple style. This explains why the girl nor the deer have many facial features, but I reckon it turned out to be a somewhat presentable art piece. The background is incredibly undetailed, and despite the simplicity of the project, it actually took a surprisingly long while to put it all together. Also, I don't know if it's just a glitch in my computer, but there are some strange tiny black dots scattered across the art - I definitely didn't put them there - check inside the project, you can see for yourself - but maybe it's just my computer being faulty, so if this doesn't apply to you, then just ignore this :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- + the art + So basically, I'm just going to summarise what I drew. The main focus is on the girl (Grace) who is sitting with her knees to her chest on a rock, wearing a purple, off-the-shoulder top and black leggings. In her extended hand, there is a small bird (who I think is actually ADORABLE, if I do say so myself). To her right, there's a bush, and to her left, there is a deer (again without facial features, with the exception of the nose), and behind it is a tree. In the sky, there is a yellow and blue butterfly (which I am actually kind of proud of) and in the background, there is a simple blue sky, with generic white clouds. I actually added shadows for the deer, tree and bush, but I didn't add a shadow for Grace (mostly because I am too lazy). I hope you like it, !
