Blue Gems: 25 bonus meters Purple Gems: 50 bonus meters Shields last for 25 seconds.. The shield will protect you from barriers but nothing else. If you hit a barrier with the shield it will disappear NOTE: The shield will lag your game for a bit and if you crash into a barrier, you will lose your shield, but you will survive.
